Has anyone shot here? I just stumbled across it on the Austin Wedding Blog.

It says that it is an actual free venue for ceremonies!! Weekends are reserved for weddings, photoshots can be scheduled Mon-Thurs.

My brother got married there past January, it is a beautiful place!!!! (yes, totally free). I didn't take pictures of the ceremony, but you can see some shoots of the wedding here. I wish I took pictures of the entire deal, I may convince my SIL to go back there for a couple of bridal photos (post-ceremony)

Hi Mel,
I shot a wedding there back in November. It's a quaint little open air chapel. After dark, it's very romantic but..... there is zero, zip, nada light. All of the light is provided by gas lights. Yes, old fashioned gas lights.
Best wishes,
Steve

Can one drive out there and check it out or are there hours that the place is open?

Bob: no, you can drive down, park, and walk up to it. I shot a daytime wedding there in December. It sits on a bluff and when it is windy, there is no shelter. Nice place.

I was fortunate to get a redic sunset while I was out there checking it out. Beautiful place.
