Question Am I unrealistic? - 06-09-2009, 07:36 PM

Of course I am That has to be it.

When dealing with ad companies, I wonder how they stay open. It doesnt matter if its the paper, the movies, billboards, or what have you...they all seem utterly incompetent. OK, all but 1. My man Bob has got one of my movie screens running great. No problems. Actually, had 1 problem - Bob fixed it within 24 hours and credited me for the screw up. Seems like a normal thing to do, right? No.

So here is my stupid ? of the day:

Is it unrealistic to expect businesses to do what they said they will do?

They dont have to even smile, be nice, or say thank you. This is just following through with what was agreed upon without much hassle. Like billboard locations - sure you can have them here...no wait, you cant. Ha ha, we have your money! Eat dirt! I dont like eating dirt. It makes me really pissy.

Anyway, that's the ? of the day. If I ran my businesses like that I wouldnt have ANY clients. They would all hate my guts and gun for me in the parking lot after work.

Let us know who they are so we won't use 'em! ;)

And you should get what you asked for and told what you were getting! Not unrealistic at all, at least it shouldn't be....

Read your cell phone contract some day, then ask yourself why anybody would ever sign such a booby trap.

The advertising industry has nothing on the communications industry when it comes to customer abuse.

Few people in most any industry seem to have any pride in their work anymore. Working is about a paycheck, so who cares about customer service? Or doing a good job? Or believing in what you're doing? I think crummy attitudes are not only perpetuating the economic malaise, but it probably caused it, too.
