Photo business cards - 06-10-2009, 10:00 AM

I've seen some photo business cards around and I'd like to get some made. Does anyone here use them and if so, where can I get some made at a reasonable price. Also looking at possibly using something in a index card sixe but I saw something recently at MOO that was a Polariod size. Anyone have any ideas?

uprinting.com They had a special not too long ago and we all ordered free cards. Here is the link so you can read peoples response about the cards.

we did full cymk bleeds on our cards front & back and wanted the uv coating. we got ours from http://www.uvcards.com. We had two different designs and got 5000 of each for under $200. The colors were off on one and they are re-doing it at no charge, seems fair enough to me.

we would have used uprinting, but we couldn't find the uv protection for business cards, which is actually in a different section ("custom" I think).

I did my free cards from Uprinting, and loved them, but then I ordered my next batch from NextDayFlyers.com, because they had the best prices that week. (I made sure I was getting the same paper and coating as my others.) I ordered 100 each of eight different cards, because I wanted a variety....

They did a great job, and my favorite part: they sent me the overruns for the cards that they printed too many of, rather than throwing them away! I got the 100 I ordered for three of my cards, but I got 500 each of four cards, and 1000 of one of them!

4over.com

Priced competitively with VistaPrint, but WAY higher quality.

I have used overnight prints and then got the free ones from uprinting.

Side by side overnight prints wins easily. There thicker/more rigid, colors look better, there cleaner cut on the edges and there UV/glossy coating is smoother and glossier.

I would get atleast 1000 made, they go quickly in smaller orders. Plus there cheap and usually lead to some kind of profit.

So the mini-MOO cards work good for you? I was wondering if people liked them or not...

When I was in a job where I got a lot of biz cards from other people, the mini cards were annoying. However, I think because of their size they stand out (although they are small). For anyone trying to get creative, try a bookmark-shaped card or something along those lines. Won't fit in a Rolodex, but I'm probably the only person in the world who still uses one of those!
