Logo on Prints? - 06-18-2009, 12:45 PM

Okay - I print with Millers - and realized that when I hand out prints, there is NOTHING that says: these are donna beard photography prints

So - what sizes do you put your logo on? do you put it in the corner, etc?

Can you show me a sample?

I stick a label on the back of them with my name and contact info. Nothing goes on the front.

IF it's a Fine Art work (such as a "painting" version of a photo), I'll hand sign the front, usually. Other works get a stamp or sticker on the back with the copyright notice and contact info.

I haven't done it yet, as I'm working on a logo. But, I plan on adding it to wallets and give 2-3 sheets of wallets with my logo as a freebie. Since it's free, they can't (or shouldn't) complain and then they can give those out also. I realize everyone doesn't want my name on their pictures, but if they are an added bonus to their order, it's cheap advertising.

I've got a few things hanging up in a gallery this month, and one of the thinsg I noticed, was that the other two photographers both had wither a logo or a signature on the front of their prints.

I had deliberately avoided it, since i didn't want it to obscure the images, but it did make me question myself. Heck, I still do. I may follow Brian's lead and sign the lower right corner in the future.

I use Miller's and they put my logo on the photos for me... It is Fabulous. B/4 I would go to PS and put the logo on it, and it would not alway be in the right spot like for an 8x10 it would be cut off. With Miller's you upload the logo when you order add it to the order and they put it on the photos. GREAT.. They will send you some examples. FYI-- If they FOIL Stamp there is a charge everytime they add it, if they just put on the jpeg in processing it is Free with a Set up fee. Hope this helps.

Kym Kilcrease added 0 Minutes and 35 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below

By the way, The customers can pull the sticker of the back and take to wal-mart and copy it!

Kym,
can you show me a sample of how your's looks? Is it more of a watermark or is it full color?
