Drum up work?

Ok, so my wedding is in three months and im in the process of finding an apartment suitable. Money is tough to come by.

I got to thinkin' last night, and even as busy as I am, I could still do a little photography on the side and make some extra money here and there to help pay the bills. Portrait sessions are easy enough, 1 hour, $150, 25 shots, total cake.

How do I drum up the business? Not to mention that there is such a deep saturation of talented photographers in the houston area, how do I carve out my niche?

Any suggestions please?

Figure out what your target market is (income, demographics) and work to get your name out there (easier said than done, I know). Lots of talent in Houston, but it's also a large concentration of weddings there each year. Figure out how to stand out from the crowd.
