In fact, it was the liability insurance companies who insure non-profit organizations working with kids that lobbied the Texas legislature to instate the law requiring background checks for volunteers. The background check program "Kidsafe" is a wholely owned subsidiary of the liability insurance company. If you are against background checks, you are pro-pedophile.
