It's a beautiful image. However IMHO as a graphic designer, I'll give you some feedback.

Rather hard to read both from a font standpoint and from a scale standpoint. Can this work small, as a lapel pin for instance? Could you explain how the background image relates to the name? If I were to read your design brief perhaps I would be better able to tell you if it accomplishes your needs.

The font is too hard to read ... you want clients and potential clients to remember your business name, not struggle to read it.

a smidge of graphics design background here:

the test is too smushed (that's a technical term). Make it taller.

lose the fanciness on the font, the 3 is unreadable.

change the text layout so that the number 3 isn't at the extreme end. it unbalances the image. 2 lines, 3 lines, whatever.

is there a relationship between the background and the text? I don't see it.

overall, it's a bit fluffy for my tastes. I tend towards a simple Times New Roman or Helvetica/Futura for simple readability. This font might do better for a signature, but not a logo.

I don't even know what it says before "photography".
And flourishes are sooooooo overdone!

I wish photographers would view logo/identity creation the same way they view wedding photography.

Doesn't work at all. I can't read it (obviously). It's too busy and I don't think it will reproduce well in all medias...just like 'texkam' mentioned.

Think in black in white (no gray tones) when you go to design something.

I appreciate the feedback. I am not designing this myself. I do not have the eye, hand or tools to do graphic design, but I wanted to get feedback from more than me to give back to the designer.

It sounds like the font is definately a no-go (I agree, it was in my notes as well). I know that this is not scalable to extremely small sizes, like a lapel pin. Frankly, I really don't need it to be. I'm trying to go for something elegant - perhaps a focus should be placed on more simplicity?

If this came from a designer, you may need to find a new one. He/she should know better.
