Here is another version. I wanted something other than just my name, but something abstract. The curved line is supposed to be 'free flowing' and show that my photography isn't limited to one single form.
And no I haven't been doing drugs, so I'm talking to you from the martian ship. I wanted something that doesn't limit me to one form of photography, especially because I dont really have a form right now. I also didn't want anything that is cliche like a film strip, or a camera.

The "soup ladle" is too distracting for me.

I agree... I saved it as a GIF last night and put it on a blue Power Point slide, and thought the same thing. I'm going to try and rework the curve today.

There's an interesting article in the latest TPPA magazine regarding logos. One thing to keep in mind is what all you intend to use it on. If it's only going to be in print like cards, etc, it might look fine, but if you intend on having it embroidered on shirts or printed on photos, it might look as good.
I like a graphic aspect in a logo, but not necessarily running through your name which I think should be the focal point. I like the type though.

I'm kinda not diggin it either now that I am looking at it again. Back to the drawing board. I have one more idea to try, and then I am giving up and consulting with a graphic designer friend of mine who actually has a degree in this stuff.

I like logos that incorporate words into a graphic design rather than the other way around. The ladle seems like an afterthought. Might work better if you considered the image you'd like to portray. The best logos don't make you think hard about what they mean; I like the concept of "many forms," but that would have been lost on most people. From a business standpoint, it can also be better to specialize in one or two things at first and get really, really good that them.

Right! But I dont want to create a logo that infer's 'wedding photographer' if I am going to do mostly pets later on. I also dont want to do a logo with a big paw print, if I plan on doing portraits later. So for now I just want something generic... I guess thats what I was trying to say earlier in the thread, it just didn't come out as such.
