I thought this may be of help with any of the labs some may be working with.

If you are processing images and want to check them against the labs equipment and ICC profiles you can check the online database at Dry Creek Photo to see if they have the information and profiles available.

You can search the database by State and etc for the labs listed, equipment used and profiles they use and download the profiles to your computer.

I noticed you listed several good labs listed.
I want to tell you, I have just started using McKenna Lab in Iowa.
I must say their customer service is awesome and the first prints I have gotten back from them are beautiful.
I understand they are doing proofs and color correcting them for 25 cents a piece now too.
I have been dealing with Mike Moss from McKenna and he is prompt in answering his emails and I mean he will answer 3 emails a day if I have a problem.
He also spent about 2 and a half hours with me on the phone to get my account going and showing me how to use Lab Prints and answered each and every question I had and spent a lot of time helping me.
I have used Pounds for a while now and their work is beautiful but thier customer service is nothing compared to what I have experienced with McKenna.
So--if anyone is looking for a great lab give McKennapro.com a try.

Not sure if you are looking for endorsements or not in this thread but:

I've had great service from Holland Photo in Austin. Beautiful results and they were very helpful and knowledgeable on how best to set up files for their printer. The Chromira prints are great and the metallic paper looks lovely with the right subject.

One other place I've used for beautiful prints is West Coast Imaging http://westcoastimaging.com/ Far and away the best prints I've seen. Again they were very helpful on the phone on file setup. Pricey but maybe worth it for that really special print.

I have noticed BWC in Dallas is not represented here. that is where I have taken all of my B/w film (one of the few in-house labs in Dallas)---- are there any others i should know about?

A few more in the Houston area:

Que Imaging, 8080 Westpark, Excellent lab used by many art photographers. A friendly and informed owner, Bob Abbinanti, who collects photographs.

Lone Star Darkroom, 1919 Van Buren, For really good custom black and white processing and printing -- about the only place in town that does fiber based black and white archival work.

Houston Photo Imaging, 2611 S. Shepherd, Another excellent lab.

Hot Flash, 6706 Ferris, Bellaire, Very good custom black and white. One man operation.

59 Minute Photo, 6451 Westheimer (Near Hillcroft), Inexpensive quick good black and white work done.

If anyone needs any large format printing locally in the Katy/Houston area, let me know. I print all of my stuff on my Epson 7800 with Premium Photo Luster paper or Canvas with 24" at longest width. Digital files are best and I can ship them anywhere you like.

Although not techinically a photo lab, the quality of prints I've received from Imagekind are awesome. They are geared more for the framed art print market and have the ability to order just prints or custom mat and frame with plenty of choices. They have 8 papers, 2 canvas types and print sizes ranging from 8x10 up to a whopping 44x60.

I used MPix exclusively for about 2.5 years. They are fantastic.
I started using Bay Photo about six months ago, and they are great as well. I really like the 1.50 two day shipping for orders over $12.

A bit expensive for overnight orders, if you need it, but it's available if you are in a real hurry.

Very good quality from both establishments and I would not hesitate to recommend either one.
