Also, if you have your own website, and want a gallery for it, I have a .php script that will automatically load .jpgs against the background color of your choice by just simply dropping the script into the directory like this:

well i think apple just jumped into the web building foray... they released iweb today to help build webpages... drag and drop with custom templates coupled with .mac service $99. and your ready to go.... supports podcasts photos and a lot of other stuff check it out might be interesting for Apple people.

Has anyone had any experience with www.shutterpoint.com?

25$.year for 100mb of space (I know...pitiful amount) - but it's a royalty free stockhouse...

Are there alternatives for online stock houses that are highly recommended?

I use www.fotki.com

$30 a year and no limit on the number or size of photos. You can create your own directory structure and password protect as desired and restrict access to full-size images. They are not 100% reliable though, and I do not recommend them for prints.

I generally order family snapshot prints from www.snapfish.com I've only had an issue with a single print over the past year, and it seems to be an issue with that one upload.

I use www.adorama.com for prints I'm selling.

FWIW, I am a big fan of smugmug .. they seem to be consistently reliable and fast as a picture host.... they use ezprints for printing, though.. and ezprints ROLLS anything over 8x10, so be aware if you are wanting smugmug for their shopping cart services.

I get a lot of 11x14 and 16x20 from them and even though rolled, they've been ok and so far, no complaints from clients when they are delivered directly to them....
