Lead Group Frustration

So, I just have to vent. I seriously apologize in advance.

I signed up to join a leads group yesterday. They are just starting out, and they meet once a month close to where I live. Bonus. They ask $30 a month membership fee (a little more expensive than one I was in in the past, but again, okay.)

They asked for my credit card- and I felt a little weird about it, so I said I wanted to pay cash on a monthly basis. Fair enough, right?

Well.... not so much. If I pay by cash or check, they want SIX months in advance! $190! Am I wrong in gawking at this? Especially for a start up group with less than 10 members right now...???

I could be wrong... but that kinda ticked me off this morning. You guys were the lucky ones to hear about it...lol. Talk amongst yourselves....

You might be able to join a Chamber of Commerce and have access to many more leads than a startup group would provide. Just my 20 cents.

Do they guarantee a refund if the group folds after only two months? I didn't think so.
