Question Finally!!! - 09-14-2009, 08:43 PM

Something I am HAPPY with! If you've followed THIS THREAD then you know what kind of strife I've caused myself, and the rest of TPF about my flippin logo. Well after thinking long and hard about it the last two days, it hit me today. I've been trying to put the focus on my name, and my name isn't what I'm doing... photography is. So I took the focus off my name and put it on the "Images" part of my DBA "Images By Christopher Coy."

After consulting with a graphic designer friend of mine, who is fabulous I might add, this is what we came up with! Its colorful, clean, and I think it works very well and will fit into my plan without a hitch.

... and I'm ready for it to be slaughtered! Whaddaya think?

Starting off with Red is good but psychologically, the milieu of the color palette can create an effluence of spatial inharmonicetys.

The juxtaposition of the IMAGES theme against the artist name generally condones the viewer to a confluence and leads to intellectual bifurcation.

Because what I have stated is so obvious, I am left to say that "it rocks" and I think it fits you very well.

Congratulations.

The rainbow theme may not go well with all breeders.

While it is colorful, something about it says non-professional to me. I can't put my finger on the exact element that says that. I may have to stare at it for a while, but it has something to do with the color tiles with the Images text in it.

Perhaps it wont, but it will fit very well with another market, one who has more expendable income than any of the breeders.

Sure it does!

Of the estimated 17 million people, their buying power is estimated at $485BILLION.

-Two incomes + No Kids = Disposable income
-The average household is over $85.4K a year, and three times as likely to have a household income over $250K.
-77% believe in "indulging themselves"
-59% buy themselves whatever they want
-65% identify themselves as 'having to have the latest.'
and...
-78% prefer to buy from companies advertising/supporting their community

In addition, according to 2009 statistics...

-71.4 million homes have pets, and of those pets a total of 171 million are cats and dogs.
-5.5 million of these homes are 'unmarried partnerships'
-Its estimated that pet owner will spend $45 billion on their pets this year.
-$3.4 billion of that will be on 'other services.'

If that is the market you are targeting with your business, I think you doing a good job selecting that logo to target it.

However, maybe you should rethink going back to that COY logo that looked like GAY. :)
