Proofs! How do you do it?

I have searched and can't find a good way to proof photos for a day care. I want to include 3 proofs on 1 4x6 print to save on costs. My Lab is Miller's but they don't offer multiple picture proofs. I don't want to have to do it manually and I want to send it off for printing. I can do it in Lightroom but I think I have to print it myself. I can't figure out how to turn it into a file to print elsewhere?

Any suggestions on how to put 3 to 4 proof pics on 1 4x6 print with an image number automatically would be greatly appreciated.

my first thought when reading this, are they going to be big enough for the customer to see???
