Exclamation Urgent question: What's the going rate for on site event printing? - 09-25-2009, 01:23 PM

I have a request to bid an event (wedding) in the DFW area where they want about 300 couples shot with studio lights in front of a background and have 5x7's printed on site and put into folders. I have no idea what the latest rates are for this, and would rather not over or under bid by too much.

Can someone give me an idea? I need to get back to them this afternoon.

Thanks so much! Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not broadcast an answer.

I've never done this at a wedding, but for other events I add about half again to the get prints in a week prices. So if a 5X7 would be $10.00 normally, then the on-site price would be $15.00.

I charged $5 a 5x7 before. But that was to build my clientele and for a non-profit organization. But I did make them signed a guarantee minimum of 600 prints.

I'm sure I'm too late to help on this, but ...

If that's something you'll need a dedicated person to do while you're shooting the rest of the proceedings, don't forget to figure in the cost of the extra hands.
