Has anyone used appnitro to create forms?Looks like a pretty easy to use software and $40 flat rate compared to wufoo at $10 a month!...although they are easier to use and will allow you to accept payments with their $25 a month plan.
Does anyone use these type things to build forms? Who do you use?

Wow, never knew there was a market for this.
I build websites for a living so form building is kinda 2nd nature to me.
One thing I don't understand why do you have to pay monthly fees?

Trust me I agree! I guess they are banking off us who don't code well.
The one thing I can't figure out is how to have the form email me the information they just created. I found one website that will design the for for you but it basically does nothing...well I guess they could print it....but it's of no use to me if It won't email me the info they just filled out.

If you have control over your web hosting then you can get some free form mailing scripts.
Are you running PHP or ASP? Maybe I can help.

Sometimes i agree other times i wonder why photographers retain the rights to photographs if i pay for them. If i want more prints, seems like i have to pay more. Hmm, now is this making more sense?

I dunno hehehe,
I'm an open-source person. I prefer to give away my code and just be paid a retainer to trouble shoot and add features, so far have been successful that way.
And I do the same with my pictures, I give my clients a disc containing all pictures in high resolution format without watermarks with a PDF on a personal reprints release.

I know I can do PHP but not sure about ASP...I am with 1&1.com
I have dreamweaver and know just the basics.
This place http://www.phpform.org/ will let you design it simply and fast but won't let you do much else with it.
If I can just figure out how to make this form send me an email
Thanks for any help you may have!

Read this http://www.dtheatre.com/scripts/formmail.php
If you can't follow a step / or have a question just post a message and I'll walk you through. kayumangi added 20 Minutes and 50 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below
Sorry i was a bit vague.
1. Build the form using the site you gave and download the html page somewhere.
2. Download and edit FormMail.php from the link I gave.
3. Modify the html page you just created and have the action point to formmail.php
4. Upload both files to your site and test.

Ok I'm getting this:
Method Not Allowed
The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /form/form.
I opened the permissions to 777 but this is the same thing I was getting before I added the new code.
This may simply be over my head of understanding.

Lovely, I just spend 45 minutes designing a stinking form and that website apparently has a glitch. It won't go to the next page and give me the code!
Seriously you do this stuff for a living!? Web designing is for the birds! Kudos to you!

Yup, been building websites since 1996. That's why I'm trying my luck with photography, for a change =)
I assume you know basic HTML, so what I'll try to do tomorrow, barring any angry customer calls from London, is to come up with a small two file php demo for you using that formmail parser thingie I just gave you.
Once that's working you can dress up the HTML form to whatever style sheet you like.

I got fed up looking for online forms a year or so ago and bought Coffee Cups Web Form Builder http://www.coffeecup.com/form-builder/ Very simple program to use and can create as simple or as complex a form as you need. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
