If it makes a difference for your business model that they do not use them without permission.. that they do not steal them.. then yes, by all means, pursue trying to educate them.
My business model, they receive online versions to post on their facebook and other social media.. as long as they leave the logo on them. The images are small enough that they believe me when I tell them they won't make good prints... and they will buy prints from me. (Assuming, of course, they didn't buy the full res version.)
Our business models are different.. I have no problem with yours, so please do not slam mine. Agree to disagree like adults and move on. |
It wasn't a slam. It was MY opinion and stated as such. (I do feel people that do this as their sole source of income and full-time would approach it differently than someone only part time and not earning a living from this.) I could care less if you do not like an implication, based on my opinion. As so many are so fond of saying on this site...use the ignore button. It is at last look, still a free country and I will speak my mind as I desire, and you can just like or dislike my opinions. Or as you say, agree to disagree. I do not complain with opinions on here I dislike, so I suggest you do the same and move along.
Unless, again as they are so fond of saying on this site, are you the "police" of this thread?
An finally, our studio sells digital images...with the proper permission the client is well within his rights to utilize those. I made NO inference about using licensed or released files, merely that educating clients that are using them ILLEGALLY is what we should be doing, and that has a benefit.
Please refrain from reading something into my post that I didn't infer in any way.
