Business Calculator - 10-08-2009, 12:06 PM

I've tried searching the forums and I haven't had any luck. Can someone please point me in the direction of the business calculator that I saw someone post a while back. Basically, you entered what you wanted to your salary to be, all the expense your business would incur and then it would allow you to figure out how much you should be charging. I didn't dream this did ? LOL :) Thanks!

I didn't see it, but if you know your expenses you are halfway there. Add to it what you you want to clear, and divide that into what you expect to sell for the pricing.

Sounds easy here.

Of course, it only works if you bring in enough business. I'm still working on that part!

Well...of course But at least it gives you an idea of how much you need to charge clients in order to make the salary you would like to make.

Very good link, it's a good idea not to shortchange ourselves. I'm in the process of setting up my numbers also.

These calculators fascinate me. I ask with all open-mindedness, for those who have used these calculators, how has it influenced your expenses, income, and pricing? Do you use the numbers for "what if" scenarios or actual business planning? How does your plan compare to your actual? What's been different and why?
