I haven't found the info I was looking for on the Paypal site. I have seen in the past where PP advertised you can accept a credit card payment from someone without a PP account. I have searched their site and can't seem to find the info. Anyone know if this is true or does the person have to sign up with Paypal? I did find where you send them a request and it asks them to sign up.

I've sent a simple payment request to an e-mail without the buyer being required to have a PayPal account. Just seems like everyone I have done business with HAS a PayPal account.

I think you need to upgrade to a merchant or business account. Can't remember how I did it. There's a fee for each transaction involved. Paypal must make millions every day from ebay.

Thanks Todd, Brad and Viet. With ya'lls help I was able to figure it out. I did upgrade to a merchant account and when you send an invoice it allows thm to pay by credit card.

You can send a "request payment" with the free account. I do it all the time. You have to have an account, but they do not. It will ask if they want to sign up for an account, but there is an option for them to decline.
