I was going to use this for a promo card, will be 5x7 in size and I will have my senior rep Crystal hand them out. I would love to hear what you think, thanks.

Good idea and concept, but the layout needs some work IMO. The black and white fonts not matching are kind of

It's an awesome shot, but I would say choose a different photo with a light or dark BG where you can use either white or black fonts, but not both.

I also don't like the font. But that's just my opinion.

If you choose to use that font, you may think about putting your Business Name in a different font, as if it's your logo, or to differentiate it from general informational text. Do you have a logo?

You might even think about putting "With this card" on there below the BOGO offer- might add some exclusivity to it but if people call asking for the "special" I'd go ahead and honor it.

I haven't been in the game very long, so take all that for what it's worth. Which may not be much, if at all.

Have you seen a teenager walking around with a 5x7 anything lately?

Checkout WHCC's rep cards - it looks like a business card - sort of - with the client/reps info on it, and your studio information on the back...

I could put the phn # above my business name and keep it black.

I do have a logo, I could try a few different placements of it...

They will hand out more if they are smaller and are more likely to be kept by the people that the reps give them too. They need to fit in a pocket or wallet!

Well - as the parent of one - I'll let you know - if it's not something they can fit into the ridiculously small - and probably way too tight jeans they are wearing - it's going to sit at home on their dresser.

If you want them to work for you, make it 'work' for them.

The best photo out of the bunch - splashed on the front...with 2010, or whatever and their name...

Examples:

See how it's showing off your work...but it's showing off your rep?

They are going to WANT to give those out...

I had them(her and her parents) sign an agreement. She is getting an album for free as long as she gets me 10 seniors. If she she doesn't get me any seniors she owes me $1000 for the album. For every senior she brings me, I take $100 off the price, therefore 10 seniors. I figured that would be incentive enough to get her to give these cards out. Also, I am hoping it's big enough that the kids will take it home and it can go on the fridge or something.... At least that's my hope. Hmmmm, maybe I should buy some magnets.....

I do like the rep's name on the card though...

First, this is a great looking card, but it will do absolutely nothing to bring you business. I agree that the size would work for a card in the mail, but not for a hand out. You need to keep it small and simple. Most people will look at this and go "Wow, that guy is really expensive. This is not the place for your menu of prices.

There is no strong offer and no call to action. I suggest leaving the prices off and having a single strong offer with a deadline. Something like 50% off your session if booked by 03/01/10. An even stronger offer would be 75% off your session if booked by 02/01/10.

Add a line that says "Some restrictions apply." If you are full time a restriction would be "This offer is only good for weekday sessions". If you are a weekend warrior the restriction would be "This offer is only good for weekend sessions". Another restriction might be "Must be accompanied by a parent". Another could be "Limited to the first five students that call". You get the idea.

Nice!
75% is a HUGE discount! Can I come have a photo session done?
If you make most of your money on prints though, it should work fine eh?
Don't forget "(Some restrictions appy)", if there are more restrictions you haven't included on the card.
