Get you some! Why So Many Americans Are Broke - 01-12-2010, 03:26 PM

I get these emails from Vanguard, who administers my 401(k), and rarely read them. This article caught my eye though. Although it was written with the intent of helping saving money, I got to thinking that employing some of these things in business could help me make more money.

Thought some on here would enjoy...

Too many buy stuff and 10000000 + 1 other things with the newest upgrades / features that you just got to have per manufactures. That also includes photo gear.

Its unfortunate that there are so many saps in the US and most are mass consumers ...
but then thats what makes us so great.
Is that a oxymoron or a moronoxy ???

PS - my broker makes money no matter what ...

Good Info.

Dave Ramsey is going to be in Houston at the end of the month - I'm attending - and can't wait! ;-)

one area i think is good to skip spending money is books about financial advice, talks on financial advice etc.

my work pays to have my 401(k) administered @ vanguard. this thing is free to me.

i think more of the lessons from the article which can be applied to business. e.g. apparently it doesn't pay to be the cheapest outfit in town....

Most of the reason people do so poorly with money is because they do not understand that it is alive. I agree with you when it comes to things like 'get rich quick' schemes and such - but good financial advice is worth every penny...

too bad you're more likely to get in a fatal car accident on the way to the corner store to buy the lotto ticket than you are to win the jackpot. :(
