Arrow Anyone use Millers 'new' Rep Cards? - 03-23-2010, 03:36 AM

I'm needing to get some rep cards printed pretty quickly and wanted to go through Millers, as they have a rep card now that looks pretty cool. View them HERE.

And the price is nice, too. I must also state for the record, their upload/ordering system is among the most retarded I've seen. Supposedly they're updating it, but the one for the rep cards is awful.

Has anyone used these cards that can give me some feedback on how they look/feel, and how the crap you place an order?

Thanks

(P.S. Read on for the whole story:
I uploaded two images, one for the front, one for the back (after the Java took about 5 minutes to engage ) then hit "Next" and it says "Order complete!". I'm like WTF? I didn't confirm the order! Now, there's no history of the "order" or any trace of it. I'm afraid I accidentally ordered the cards and they'll be automatically billed to my card. Is this how Millers makes orders? HAAALLLP!)

Did you order online, or through ROES? You may want to call them if you're not sure.

Their java program is a bit of a pain. I don't have their rep cards, but they print my business cards (gloss front and back) and they are beautiful! I don't think I have given them to a person yet that didn't comment on them. Even photographers really like them!

Crap. I think I did order them. I got a confirmation email with a process tracking number. FML.

Someone asked what they'd look like, so here they are. I wasn't ready to send them to print, but I guess we'll see how they turn out

Those are the bleed lines from the template on the front side.

I LOVE Millers! I like the pimped out case. Very cool. Did you get the case too?

Yes, some of their software does make ya raise an eyebrow. But I make Mike do that part. lol.

Yeah, depending on how the cards look, I might have fallen in love as well. They overnight the things, so they should be waiting for me at home. You get a free 'carrying tin' if you order more than 25. I ordered 100 I think.
I'll take some pics and post when I get home.

Came home and found them in a neatly packaged box. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. You weren't kidding Holly, Millers is AWESOME! Super quick turn around and overnight shipping. You can't complain about that. Heres some quick n' drrrty photos of them sitting on top of my Macbook Pro's Black Speck Satin See-Through Case.
The quarters are placed there to show the size of the cards. They're not too small, as you can read them easily, and they're not too big so that kids won't be put off from carrying them. I do worry about kids losing them though.

The tin case is super sweet, and keeps the cards in pristine condition until the Rep hands them out. Awesome, Awesome stuff. I'm going to be ordering some more.

Be aware that you have to finish the file before you lay it into their uploader. Be sure it's ready to print before submitting. There's no further designing or layout that you can do once you submit the image. Plus, once you hit the "Transmit" button, it's ordered.
The cool thing about these, is that you get to have one front image, then up to 100 different images for the back. So if you order 100 cards, they will all be different on the back. Awesome.
I'm going to offer these to other seniors to pass out to their friends.

^ They're not a bad size for business cards too. They're bigger than Moo cards but smaller than a normal business card. And cheap enough too where I wouldn't hesitate passing them out like candy. Not to mention that slick tin case
