Indian Wedding Rate - 04-15-2010, 05:13 PM

Has anyone phpotographed an Indian wedding before? it's a three day event with about approx 8 hours each day. How much would your package be priced at with/without albums? I have no idea what the market rate is for that and i'm needing to provide a quote to a prospect. Thanks for your input!

Quote what you want to get paid.

What I or anyone else would quote is completely irrelevant. I have a different level of training from you (for better or worse), different level of quality of gear, different amount of experience, and provide a different service - even though we would both be providing wedding photography service.

Thomas, I hear you. But i'm wondering how much did you charge for an indian wedding assuming you had one before. I'm not asking for a price guideline here. Just what everyone's experience was working an Indian wedding.

Never shot one, and never attended one, but here is how I would price it.
125hr for primary
50 hr for 2nd
An Album price with xxx number of images, and then $$ per additional image in album.
Also a print price for single print orders.
So, thats 1200 day primaryX3 3,600
400 day X 3 for 2nd 1,200
Plus on top of that would be the album and prints.
If they wanted to buy a CD with say 300 images, then that would be an additional 4,500.00
Keep in mind the post work you will have to do. For me, I would guess I would end up with about 1,000 images to go though + whatever the 2nd shot.
