I have a friend who builds websites and he has a client (law office) that needs photos taken. They want photos of their law office as well as head shots of everyone. I'm ok with the headshots but i have never shot interior photos so i have a few questions.
First is the money, should i charge a seperate rate for the head shots and another for the interior shots or one rate? For portrait work my rates run between $125 -$175 an hr. Would i be pricing myself out of this gig as the only interior photographers in my area that i can find are real estate photographers. Most of those guys charge only $75 an hr but charge as much as $50 an hr to edit. I charge about $35 an hr for editing outside of basic PS fixes. So should i stick with my normal rate or should i go up or down?
Next is what to bring for an interior shoot. Should i use off camera flashes or one strobe? If i use a strobe should i use a softbox or an ubrella? Also what is a good lens to use? I have a 28 2.8 but im down to a A700 (which is a cropped sensor not full frame) so i was thinking of renting a 10-20mm f/4-5.6 lens would this work?
Any help anyone could provide i would be in debted to you. I checked the sticky but i didn't see anything that covered what i was looking for. So if there is forgive me and point me to the right section. I have also been searching the web so i might find it before this gets answered but any help you have please pass it along incase i can't.
Thank You
