I'm wondering if anyone has had success with Facebook. If so, I have a few questions.

Do you "friend" your clients on your personal page after they become fans? The reason I ask, is that I can't tag clients in photos if they are not on my personal friends list. Also, have you created facebook ads to promote your facebook page?

I'm re working my marketing strategies for 2011, and I'm just curious what has worked, and what isn't worth the time.

Thanks!

I get many, MANY customers from Facebook. I tell my clients at their end of their session, "If you feel comfortable friending me on Facebook, I will tag you in some images for a sneak peek for you and your friends to see in the next day." They friend me EVERY time. I think it depends on your relationship with your clients, but I treat them all like they are friends. I have as of today 1303 fans.

I also add them to a "Clients and their Friends" group so I can keep some of my pictures private.

Also, I do wedding advertising on FB and it has certainly paid off for me. In the last 9 mths I've spent about $350 on FB ads and I have booked 5 brides from it. All of them booked my middle package ($2500) or up, so for sure a good ROI.

I hope that helps :)

Lyncca, good advice on setting up a separate group. It helps when you want to keep the personal life more personal.

EDIT: It's Facebook. I just realized how silly that sounds.
