Studio & Location Insurance - 01-18-2011, 09:33 PM

I need a liability insurance policy for my studio that covers injury at the studio but also covers location shoots. Any advice, suggestions or referrals would be welcome. Thanks

Thanks, I was curious if I would get $200 in value from PPA. I will check it out.

TCP&Co.

This is who does my photography insurance. They were significantly cheaper than PPA. E&O coverage was like $150/year. ~18k worth of equipment, 2mm liability, 5k laptops was around $700/year.

I went through The Hartford and have 13K in equipment, 1M in general liability for $492 a year ($41 a month). You can add malpractice for $50 or $60 a year. I forget exactly. I'm about to go add that now that my PPA expired. I am not renewing since I wasn't really using any of their other resources.

i went through usaa, who uses travelers as their underwriter for their "photographer" insurance package. it's a general liability policy and also covers equipment (less value of replacement, repair, current depreciated market value). 2mil/4mil per occurrence/per year, $250 equip deductible, all for $500/y. i imagine you could probably go straight to travelers to get this same deal.
