Pricing on Photo for Website?

This is new to me, but I had a gentleman contact me regarding buying an image of mine that he saw posted on a site.( Maybe this one, he couldn't remember) For the purpose of using on his small companies website.

I have no clue how this works.
Can someone point me to a good website with accurate information, or perhaps share some of your wisdom with me?

There is no such thing as accurate info as far as pricing goes because each photographer does his biz differently.

I do weddings and 2 years after the wedding I get a call from some guy.
He said he was on my website - right, what's a guy doing on my website 2-years after a wedding. He said he saw a picture of his daughter and would I send it to him.

ummmm...NO!

who was this guy really and what did he want that picture for? Ya never know these days.

I just told him the bride had all her pictures and he could contact her. and then I hung up.
