Bulk Copyright Procedure? - 02-16-2011, 05:02 PM

I'd like to register 500,000 images for copyright if it can be done via DVDs. I figure by resizing the images, it would take about 8 DVDs.

Is there a method to do this without an electronic upload? I looked at copyright.org but it confuses me.

What forms are required, can pics be in separate directories on the DVD, is 600 pixel long side length ok?

Thanks.

Copyright.org is a BS parking site operated by network solutions. It is useless.

You want copyright.GOV

You can do them all under one registration provided they were all first published in the same calendar year...

here is a link to the form... with copyright office goodness

+1 Daveb.

Also note on the dot-GOV site that they want best quality. If you send them a bunch of 100 pixel image files, they may be asking you for better quality images. Just be careful about the quality of the images you send.

I registered some pics in 2009 and provided a CD with maximum resolution .jpg files and did not have any problems. I got a certificate in about three months.
