Heya! o/

I've been out of the scene for a bit but want to get my portfolio back in order. I want to offer my services up for a minimal (if not free) price to get back into the game, practice, etc..

The question is - has anyone used Craigslist to find people to shoot? What were your experiences?

I'm looking to do headshots again as well as find bands to shoot and whomever is willing to let me shoot them. :)

It's deffinately a place where people look for cheap photographers. I know a couple of Wedding photogs that got their start from there. One Model Place, and Model Mayhem are also a couple of places you'll find "aspiring" models.

You're from fullerton...Surely you have 20 or 30 "models" on your block alone...:D

If, by models, you mean cars, airplanes and other inanimate objects.. most likely! :)

No, I mean California is full of teenagers, and twentysomethings that moved out here to be an Actor, or Model. They're all looking for cheap headshots.

I just happened to stumble across a band playing outside at the Artwalk in Ventura. I had my camera in hand, and took some shots. After looking at them, I emailed them the photos, and they ended up puting them on their website. Innarudemood.com

Teenagers aren't my target - too much of a hassle. I don't want to come across as being a predator (Chris Hanson anyone??).

I've shot plenty of actors (or food servers, whichever you want to call them). They're all in LA. Not in Fullerton. I'm willing to travel though, but that takes the 'free' out of the equation..

Honestly, with the large conservative, Korean community here in Fullerton I don't think they're concerned with headshots..
