Smile Online Proofing What do you use? - 09-15-2007, 02:14 AM

Hi everyone,

Me and my wife are thinking about signing up for those template made websites, online proofing, etc sites such as photobiz.com, http://www.imagequix.com/, and http://www.moments4ever.com. This will give us hopefully a chance to gain more exposure as well as our clients to view photos online through their online proofing system. Has anyone used such a service and what company would you recommend? Please share comments, opinions, or reviews on sites. Thanks

My wife and I are using Pictage right now. We got a nice package deal and the photos they produce are amazing.

Some of the others we set up and used were DigiLabs and Instaproofs. They work, but we really like the quality and ease of Pictage.

Congrats on starting the business!

some others are www.DigiProofs.com
(my favorite since I work there!), Collages.net, morephotos.com
.
some things to look for
look/feel of site
simplicity of ordering for your clients
integration with your own website (if applicable)
stand-alone / or 'only' integrated with your site
hosting cost - any?, per image?, per event?
cost of service - initial
cost of service - monthly
cost of service - products
cost of service - commission / generally 10% - 18%
client costs - shipping cost
support available? phone? email? expected turn around time?
is service for "professionals only"? or does it also cater to consumers
(all things being equal the former is generally preferable)

.
