I am just an amateur now, but would like to develop my photography skills to the point where I may be able to sell some photos here and there in the future. My interests are in landscape photography and nature macro photography. Of course, many of the most interesting shooting locations for such subjects are in our public lands like state parks and national forests. It seems like many of the agencies managing these lands require permits for "commercial" photography. State parks even require liability insurance in order to issue a permit. While I could go through the process of obtaining permits, I'm wondering if I really need to in order to "possibly" sell a minimal amount of pictures, at some uncertain point in the future. Any thoughts on this process? Please let me know your experiences. Thanks. |
