Graphic Design & Photography Portfolio advice

This is a discussion on Graphic Design & Photography Portfolio advice within the Business Talk forums, part of the Business Discussion category; I'm thinking an 11X17 binder type thing so I can replace or reorder sheets. ipad is too small (and expensive)....

You might consider getting your design portfolio pieces printed on thick matte card and doing a product shoot for your own design. Use those photos to help drive the thematic feel of the portfolio while reinforcing the fact that you did the photos yourself. Then, if applicable, drop a tear/splash of photos as a quick sample, and have a full photography portfolio prepared for potential clients/employers.

Most importantly, let the creativity flow! The complimentary use of photography and design speaks well for both, so let your eye and mind take you somewhere.
