Session For Trade??? - 08-05-2011, 12:07 PM

This may not be the correct forum to post this, but I am not sure which would be.

Are there any DFW photographers that are interested in a trade? I am about to have my baby and would really like someone at the hospital for the big event. (Induction is scheduled for the 17th, but there is a possibility I wont make it that long). In leu of photographing for us the birth of our first child, we would be happy to provide you with ANY type of photography service that you would ever need.... Just let me know and consider it done!

I had someone lined up for this but she, now, isn't able to d do it. Please let me know if you are interested in this. I would greatly appreciate it.

=) Thank you. I know. I am a teacher too =)

I think he might be coming this week on his own.... unfortunately I will miss valuable training sessions if he does, but ... I gotta do what I gotta do =)

Good luck with the school year.

I would so consider this, but I don't think that I have a lens, with a low enough f/stop. If you have a lens better than a 70-200mm for canon, I would love to help you out :)

I'm guessing in a delivery room, a 70-200 - especially on a crop camera - would be a bit tight. I'd probably consider something like a 35 or 50mm.

Exactly, I was thinking a 50mm, or smaller. I rent most equipment right now...but don't have that luxury at the moment. It sucks not owning equipment :(

I am meeting with someone on Monday and I will let you know. Thank you so much for the offer. We do have a 30mm and a 50mm both Canon mounts.

Every hospital can make it's own rules. Mine allows still photography but she cant take pictures of the Dr's face or my private parts.

Video is not allowed in my hospital but is allowed in others.

That would definitely be an opportunity! Congrats on the new baby and good luck with the photographer! I have seen so many wonderful birth photos from many photographers and tell myself "oh i wish i could do that" but i know like my nephew's birth, i cried like a baby I couldn't even see out the view finder! LOL
