Get a wide angle lens so you dont have to shoot from across the street.
Might have have to start at the bottom with the free rags available in the news stand but what the hell. Spend some time reading the info on this site
and spend time to learn the workings and adjustments of your camera.
Good luck!

I once found a real estate agent who wanted to pay a decent wage so that they could have good quality, professional photos. I got closer to him and realized the real estate agent was actually a unicorn. Then I woke up. True story.

Was there a big red, white, and blue balloon that said "Flea Max" on the side? If not, I think you're making this all up.

Thank you, that is all.

If you're going to shoot any sort of architecture... find architects or builders to do photos for. Unless real estate agents are selling $500k+ houses, your chances of making more than a couple bucks for you trouble is slim to none.

but I agree with using a wide angle lens.

Most real estate agents around already have "staff photographers" who have a camera .

The agent is the photographer and their cell phone is what they use for taking all those wonderful shots.

I, myself, decided to be a professional real estate photographer 2 months ago when I got laid off from Kroger. I had some $$ saved up, so I went into Wal-Mart, and the sales associate there directed me to the Nikon D3100 WITH the 18-55 VR professional lens. He stated that was the best camera for the job that Nikon had to offer. SO, I chose that one. Then I got some business cards made there at a good price, finally, Wal-Mart offers webhosting services, so I signed up for that so I can make my webpage more professional and serious looking. In and out in about a hour, ready to shoot my first real-estate gig! I think I am going to charge $25 per property to start out, just to get my name out there. Then I am going to buy the EGG lens, and raise my price to $45 for the pictures and virtual tour. This is my first attempt at my own professional business, but I think I have the best tools for the job. If you know of any agents that need professional pictures, send them my way, or you can refer them to my craigslist ad I am currently making, once I get my first gig to get pictures to put up.
Jake and Scott...yer crazy like this.

My son had a job doing ad work for a local paper. Biggest part was RE ads. He had to scan and clean up mostly polaroids sent in by the agents then place all the copy and such. He asked the boss to suggest that the agents get an inexpensive digital camera and send him the file. So what did he get?

Low res files PRINTED FULL PAGE on 8.5x11 for him to…scan….
