Is there a location on the site where I can see a list of pro's / speciality by location?

We will be wanting a some family pics in a month or so (with a new grandson).

I would like to look over portfolios and styles to see who might be a good fit for us :)

There was a list but that feature wasn't compatible with the new forum software. Abel is in the process of trouble shooting,

If you want to search a list - you can go to professional photographers of America Houston Guild - at Professional Photographer's Guild of Houston and they have a search forum. You can also just google for photographers in your area. Or if you dare you can post here and I'm sure there are a lot of us who would be happy to send you our web address.

When you are looking you will want to look at style and pricing. Confirm what you get for the sitting fee, as this varies widely among photographers. Most photographers will give you a clothing consultation over the phone or in their studio. This is very important so that the portraits look good. Location is also important - do you want studio or on location.
