Lab Question - 10-01-2011, 06:44 PM

I wanted to find out what labs print 40x50 and larger. 30 inch prints just aren't gonna cut it anymore.

Thanks.

Btw, Is there a better section for this question?

EDIT: I found that WHCC, my current lab, does fine art canvas/velvet/wraps up to 40x60. I guess I had to look just a little harder. Still, are there labs that "go larger" and ship to you?

Perfect Posters
Looks like they have sizes up to 40x72 and maybe bigger custom sizes. Their prints look great too. I once got a client a 12x30 panorama and it was nice. Although it came rolled in a tube.

Thanks for the info. My biggest concern is how to mount the huge prints. Whcc will print big, but will only mount up to 30 x 40.

Sounds like an expensive, custom job. You might look into commercial printing providers, sign manufacturers etc.
Are prints this large going in personal homes or places of business? There are myriad options when you get into the sign field. You can print pretty high res on many different materials these days. Vinyl banners come to mind, as well as vinyl decal prints mounted to whatever you want them mounted to. My brother is in the sign manufacturing industry so he tells me about a lot of stuff.
