What would you charge for photos to be used on a web site? Jewelry pieces that someone does as a craft side business. Would be used to show the product so customers know what to order. Thought about a per hour rate, but then they could give me 1,000 pieces of jewelry and say have it done in one hour. Thinking about per photo, jpg format.

if you charge by the hour, they don't get to tell you how many hours they want it to take. you give them an estimate.

i would consult with them and see what kind of volume they need, and give them a quote.

I always enjoy the CL postings where they are looking for someone to provide a service for which they have no experience, but yet they tell you how long it should take.

Kasey,
You have given the perfect answer, thanks.
I do the same, I have a commeical rate that includes one-time web use, before I take on a job I have a contract signed by both parties with everything in writting that I will do and what I will deliver.
If you want to say in business without problems then please do the same on any work you provide.
