Use OvernightPrints at your own risk. I am not the only person who has gotten cards with bad color from them. However, you asked for the most bang for the buck, and OvernightPrints probably does have that. You just have to hope you get a good batch.

I can't speak for why he said that... but for me, I probably would not go with any business person who tried to connect their religion and their business. My religious beliefs are my own, and I have had bad experiences with places that mix their business and religion.... so I'd probably skip past your card, ad, website.

On the other hand, if it fits your business model, then I am not in your customer base to begin with .... so by all means, continue.

That is an interesting outlook and I agree we each have our own beliefs. So far I am staying busy and have been pleased with the volumn of response I have been getting.... To each their own and what ever works for them.

I understand where Brad is coming from but I agree with Debby.

I make no qualms about it on our website that I'm a christian and I believe this talent & business I have is a blessing. If someone reads that and wants to start running, be wary of the church door that's gonna swing behind ya on the way out. I wouldn't ever preach to a client, but if someone out there *is* looking for a fellow christian business to support I am going to make it known that I'm available and we could have that additional connection.

sorry to hijack your thread John :) good question because I need to make some new cards too !

No problem. For what it's worth, I just want to say that I would never use my business as a vehicle to preach to anyone. However, if a client expresses a desire for knowing spiritual truth, I will happily share my perspective as a Christ-follower if I have their permission to do so.

Now, back to business cards. VistaPrint is looking pretty good.

For VistaPrint, use this link:

http://www.vistaprint.com/febsale before March 15 to get a 25% discount... I just got this in the mail the other day as a ""best customer"

(I have no affiliation with them, I just have bought literally thousands of cards from them for several aspects of my business over the years.. so they love me. )

Thanks - I think I'll use them for my next set of cards (need some for ShootHouston.com now).
I used to use them for their "free" (+s/h) cards, and it was nice. We made up several fake companies & names to use at work in Investigations.

got mine back from overnight prints.com a few days ago and after hearing the reviews here, I was worried, but they did a great job on mine and colors were dead on: here is the card....the ones I did didn't have the moon in it...

Business Cards - Printing - 02-24-2006, 07:17 PM

This topic has appeared here before. I went the popular "OvernightPrints.com". I am NOT happy with the business cards that I just received. The images came back too flat, even with the UV coating. Then, they look like the image had been dessaturated. This is my first experience with them and it was not a good one.

Good Luck,

If you are looking at getting a few thousand at once I have to recommend D-Mars http://www.d-mars.com/index.html. He's a local here in Houston and I've used him for several things from business cards and flyers to vinyl banners. His prices are great and turn around is pretty quick. Also if this matters or not he is a Christian.
