Exclamation Looking for a good Photoshop class - 06-27-2006, 01:34 PM

I am really looking to take my post processing to another level. I know there is a class with all the greats (Kelby among them) in Vegas in September but does anyone know of a thorough, quality, non-beginner workshop sooner and possibly much closer??? I am willing to travel. Thanks guys!

Erin seriously talk to Laura Wootan (picturecow) she is oh so good at Photoshop it is sick! HOWEVER she never toots her own boat on the subject or any other subject for that matter so no one knows. She showed me so many things, short cuts, layer masking tricks, toning, etc, etc, etc AND she made it EASY to follow!

Plus she has a kick a$$ studio in San Marcos so it is a comforable surroundings and a great place just to get away from Houston!

Just an idea!

I second Mike's suggestion. Laura does amazing things with Photoshop. The only problem she has is being very busy (if you want to call that a problem)

You know she is good if she can get Mike to use layer masks

Erin,

I'm a Adobe Certified Instructor and I offer private Photoshop training. I also offer to small groups if there's a mutual place to conduct the class. I also teach out of my home. If you're interested just let me know.

Thanks,

Call me and we can discuss what you are looking for. I am in Carrollton and have been teaching Photoshop since 2.0. The goal for me as a photographer is to get as much right in the camera as possible to cut down on computer time. I do like the computer. I was the artist for Amadeaus Productions (Walker Texas Ranger) for many years and have done retouching for Kodak. You can find me from my website www.digitaldooda.com I originally had a website: imagingtechnologytraining.com but no one could type all that or remember how to spell it. Digitaldooda is easy to remember.

What are your goals?

Vickie

My rates are $55/hr. I've taught Photoshop since 2.5 on both the Mac and PC. I have 12+ years of Photoshop and 14+ years of digital imaging and photography. You can check out my website: www.bydesignmgd.com.

I would be very interested in doing a workshop, probably around late Aug. or or early Sept.

Thanks,

Would that be $55/hrs for a small group or per person?
Do you have a place to hold the class? If so, where?

Hopefully we can get a group together.

Thanks guys for letting me know about your services. I may contact y'all. After talking to my hubby about this he decided to book me a Photoshop World ticket in Vegas in September. That may be all I need. I do think a pretty intense PS class for TPFers would be very popular though.

Erin you will LOVE LOVE LOVE Ben WillMore he is amazing!

Super nice guy, super good guy and really knows his stuff.

Tell him I said hi for me, he might not remember me but we got pretty tore up in New Orleans a few months ago!

Again best guy I have ever seen speak on photoshop, not only will he teach you what things are but he teaches you WHY they are.

8 hours with him and you will be amazed! His book is well worth it also if you get the chance to get it!

Jack Davis is good also, both teach different but both are very very good!

BTW, there's some free stuff. PhotoshopTV's podcast is great along with the Photoshop Killer Tips podcast. Both are video podcasts. Photoshop TV has a weekly 1/2 hour show and Killer Tips is a daily 1 minute or so show.
