Albums Suggestions - 07-20-2006, 06:41 PM

Sorry for starting a new thread on this again. I remember seeing not too long ago someone mention in a thread there dislike for peel and stick albums ( I think that was the term used). So my question is do you dislike any and every album where you have to adhere it yourself. If so why and what alternatives do you use for more affordable albums if any?

Thanks in advanced...

I've found that the adhesive albums can fill a nice niche for low-cost albums... I use Art Leather's I-Mount series. For situations where there's no way I'm going to be able to sell a Futura Album, they work great. Similar deal for the I-Mount folios - they make an easy add-on sale, and aren't particularly expensive (on either side, mine or the client's).

Graphi Studios is a good one. They have a half price sale going on all 9.5+ books right now.

I really like the Art Leather Deluxe I mount albums. Extreme care must be taken in mounting the photos. There are some labs that will do the mounting of the photos for you. I have pulled off a couple of photos and remounted new photos but that is a real pain.
I joined the Graphi newsgroup. They do have some problems with 5 to 8% of their albums it seems. There was a discussion on pages sticking mainly lately.

Thanks for the responses everyone. A few more questions. If you offer both flush mount albums and the self mount albums how do you present both in a way that doesn't make the other seem too cheap or talk down about them. Also do you find one having a higher profit margin than the others?
