I'm fresh out of ideas. I've been staring at this for way too long to make any sort of sane judgement. What do you think. Do you have any other ideas I could try?
Thanks.

Not bad. I like the simplicity and the road being a light gray/silver is nice. When you are rich and famous the road could be printed with a silver ink or even a spot varnish.

Just a couple ideas to try if you haven't already. Don't know if they'll work until you try them...
1. Make one of the S letters a curvy street/road
2. Somehow keep the road graphic contained with "silver street" but not "photography" to make "photography a little more readable.
3. We've all seen a roll of film or piece of curled film in photog logos... that's over played. But what if the roll of film was also a road? I dunno, just thinking out loud. Even if you are digital people still relate film to photography and if it's a road it could be a clever tie in.
4. Have you tried "photography" in a smaller font size?

Try adding a bit of white "stroke" to your text layers to separate them from the road where they intersect.
Next thought...I imagine an animated GIF with the center strip moving to look like you are traveling down the road. Like D2creative said..."just thinking out load"

Personally, I like it. If you are planning on using this on an image, however, I would be concerned that the silver street will get lost against a light background.

PS7 Layer1>Replace Color>Radial Gradient>Gray

Just a thought. Playing around with Gradient may give you some options.

Ooops forgot this

Nope I thought I could figure out how to add image from my photo files but I cannot. I see you added an Attached Image but I can't see the option. How did you do this?

Otherwise email me & I'll send through email.

Nic, there is only one thing that disturbs me about your logo and that is the shakiness of the font. It’s a little nervous. I am attaching a sample, not as a suggestion, but as a reminder that in logos you have a lot of leeway with fonts. I have used different fonts for the “S” and on the “S” in silver I have added distortion to that single letter.

Readability and composition are important. Combine that with a little flair for a distinctive logo.

Gabby, I totally agree with the shakiness. I really like the shape of the letters, I just couldn't find anything smooth with a similar shape. I'm gonna try some of these ideas, thanks for your help everyone. Any other ideas, keep em coming!

Hi Nic

Since your site loads rather slow, I thought you might want to think about keeping with your new simple theme. So all i did was gradient>silver to turquoise> (or silver to darker silver) >drag with the centerline of your road lines.

Looks like I dragged the wrong direction on the silver to darker silver, but you get the idea.
