Senior proof book size? - 09-05-2006, 01:01 PM

Hello!
I have decided to offer proof books for Seniors. What size image should I have or how many per page? Totally clueless! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would say do what you want. If you are doing it for senior pics, I would suggest that you let them mix and match pics. I have heard that the companies that go thru the schools only let you have one pose per set of pics, so if you want multiple poses you have to get multiple packages which is alot of money

I would suggest that you go with what your lab offers.

I guess what I am trying to ask is how many images per page? There would be about 20-30 images so, how would I break that down? 2 per page? 4 per page?
My lab offers whatever I want.....I just don't know what I want. Does that make sense?
Oh please save me from myself! It's so hard trying to think. It just doesn't come naturally to me.

Thanks!

Have you considered doing a proof slide show on CD? I use a software called PicturesToExe. I like it because you can add titles, music, controls, etc. All of the photos are in a self contained executable file that runs right from the CD on a PC (I dunno if there is a Mac version, or something similar for Mac).

It is almost impossible for the client to copy the images, but if you're worried about that, you can watermark them. If you like, you can even put an expiration date on the slide show so it can't be viewed after a given date.

I find this to be very cost effective, and thus far, my clients seem to like it.

Just another option.
