Asuka Book : Renaming Pages - Help! - 09-20-2006, 11:26 PM

I want to "move" a few of my pages within the book by renaming them from 11-10 to 14-15 to give myself more sides to add more ceremony pictures.

My question is : Can i do this without screwing something up?

When I open the file, it prompts me to open it with the embedded color profile (in this case Adobe RBG) but I'm afraid that something more like the side number is ALSO embedded in the profile and therefore renaming them will screw this all up during printing.

I currently open the templates and then save out a psd. I don't save it over the original template until the book is complete.

Is this ok to do? I seems like it would be , but I just want to be sure before I ruin this and have to start all over.

i'm not sure if your customer support at print lab is good, but in the pat 6 months is when we started using templates and they are always helpful to answer our questions. but then again that's just our lab.
p.s. you should be able to check your order by page at the end of the process. that's always a great way to see what pages are in what order after deleting and replacing.
but i'd call you print lab.

and just to be safe...after you send the order, call the lab again and see if they had any problems with printing, and be specific with your current issue.

Should be - and very easy to verify. Do it and run it through their file verifier and see what it spits out!

DUH Jesus, I didn't even think of trying that. The filecheck would produce an error if that is a big no-no huh?

I contacted Asuka and they said that you can rename/resort ANY of the pages within the book EXCEPT for the cover, first page and last page because they are different sizes.

They said to be careful not to miss a page number, BUT if we did, the filechecker should find it.

WHEW!
