Potential Logo - C/C please - 10-29-2006, 07:57 PM

I told my friend that I wanted an abstract lotus for a logo and this is what she came up with. What do you think? What does it say to you? Do you think it will work best with wedding and portrait photography? And just any other insight you want to give.

Here are some examples of placement and such...

It is feminine, but you're a female and your clientele will more than likely be also, so I think it works. You also know which placement I favor for this particular shot...

Logo looks good. I prefer the translucent one or the way it's presented in #3.

the flower is nice. the font of hte word "perspectives" is... overused. it's like the font for the ladies workout place "curves".

Does it say anything to you Kasey? If you were to see the logo on a card or a picture what would you think about the photographer or the business?

Do you think it might be a little too large?

Maybe, I'll play around with it. Is there a good size for logos?

i like number three...it interacts with the lettering, which is always a good thing, on the other ones it is exactly what it is, a logo next to a company name...when you put them together it kind of unifies them....make sence? at least that is how my design teacher explains it to me LoL

Yeah that makes sense, so I guess you can use say the entire thing is my logo, not just the flower. Although the flower is the may part.

I like it, but if you stick with that font you need to fix the kerning. The space between the letters. Make the leading edge of each letter meet up with the next letter so it flows smoothly.

Well I tried to get the lettering to touch, but I think that is the characteristic of the font. I also notice that the color version will not work with every picture. So here are some more sketches.

Let me know what you all think about the placement of the flower. Should it be on the side or in the middle?

And is it ok to change up the position of the flower how I see fit, as well as the color? Or will that confuse people?

On the first two the flower size is different.

I like keeping the logo off the photo.. Putting it in the same place on the photo every time runs into problems.. Like in the last photo, where it's in her armpit..
