Hubby and I have decided to add these books to our series. We just love them.
Now comes the question about design....

Do any of you use their design software and does it include the same templates that would be used if we paid them to design the layout? I really like having control over the design and the ability to trade out a photo for another if my "vision" of what I'd selected doesn't pan out.

How are you doing it if you use Graphi? Have your customers loved their books? Whats the most common size being ordered by your clients?

I've toyed with the idea of designing them myself, too.. better to control costs, too... that "extra charge" for additional images worries me that it will make it difficult to plan the cost.

I don't think their 'design software' is available yet, and when it becomes available, I think it's a set of actions for sizing layouts (don't quote me on that - you might go ask on their yahoo forum).

With that said, I do all layouts myself, regardless of the album vendor, but am looking at adding an in house designer to help with time management on my part.

Brad,

I have never had a bride/groom stick to the Minimum number of photos that comes in an album. All have wanted the MAX they can get. LOL

Therefore, when I set my pricing for the Graphi Studio line, I use the bottom number of the limit (i.e. 60 photos for a 40 Page Album) and just shoot for that amount when designing. 60 Photos in a 40 Side album for a Graphi is just about right. I do all my own layouts, but I still limit the number of photos. More photos = more work on the design end, and should cost more, so I just use that in my figures.

Granted, Graphi is more complex to price than most thou.
