Studio Mgmt Software

I am working with a development friend of mine to create a very simple event and portrait studio managment software. I am looking for input from others out there on what needs to be included. I would love to hear everyones opinions on what kind of information you keep and how different things relate to each other or should, etc. Anything you can give me will help.

Any chance of getting in on a beta of the program or at least a website to see some screenshoots and a synopsis of the features of the software?
