Has anyone heard anything about this hosting company? They offer a subscription type service for proofing your images online. Monthly fee based on your largest gallery. It appears they use your own webserver to host the images though. Not really sure about this. Anyway, comments would be appreciated.

Not cheap with a $195 set up fee so even if you went with a quarterly program and shot some fairly large events (needing larger galleries) say 500 image gallery that would be $116.70 for 3 months of hosting plus the $195 set up so just say almost $310 Which is a bit steep!

Also their testimonials look made up!!

Found one of the sample galleries and did a who is look up on the owner and this popped up:
http://www.kettlerphotography.com/

Registrant Contact:
Kettler Photography
Todd Kettler (ketphoto1@netzero.com)

Fax: none
4380 Wilmington Pike
Kettering, OH 45440

So I say just e-mail them and see how they feal about the service and it's price, you could do that with a few other galleries in their sample group.

(edited rate for the albums, quarterly rates are a bit higher than annual but to be honest to try them out I would only commit to quarterly for the first section and then if you really like it go to annual).

Thanks for taking a look at them, but it looks like their fees are YEARLY, not quarterly, so that would be $389 for the year. Works out to about $32 a month. There are just so many hosting companies out there.

Did some more research on this offering. They use an e-commerce software from foxdigital.com to organize your photographs. Also, you create the thumbnails and final images using Photoshop and place them on your own website. They then link to your website and pull the images from there to place into the e-commerce package using your bandwidth no less.

They don't collect any money and they do not fullfill your print order. Hope that helps.

Does anyone use SmugMug?
I heard they are about $150/year and no limit on storage.
