Release form questions.

I'm wondering if I need to have people sign a release form for say faimly/portrait type shots? I'd assume i'd only need a release if I would like to use said shots in my portfolio or post online.

It is unlikely that you'd run into any problems if you did not collect a release and only sold those photos to the people in the photos. However, collecting a release is always a good idea. Besides, if you later decide you want to promote yourself using those images, you're in the clear.
