GraphiBook Sample Set - did you order it? - 12-11-2006, 09:20 AM

Did anyone here take advantage of their $199 offer for a copy of your images in a 9.5x13 book with the smaller 4x5 copy + calendar?

I'm debating on placing that order or just getting their regular sample offer
that includes:

One 12x16 book
One 12x16 sleeve
One 9,5x13 book
one 8x12 book
One 8x12 parent book
Three 4x5 inches pocket books
Four 2.5x4 inches pocket books
Twelve 2x2.5 inches pocket books
One 12x16 wedding calendar

Does it make sense to have THAT many copies of the same book? I was thinking of ordering the various sizes, but making unique books. How have your brides reacted to your graphibook collections?

I just wrote a reply and it seems to have lost it...

Hmmm....

Okay - here it is again. Our brides love Graphi books. They like the idea of using the little 4x5 books as thank yous. The issue we have been having with selling the books is solely price.

We werer thinking about accepting 3 payments PRIOR to ordering the book to help make them more within reach. Seeing a 4 digit number on 1 album tends to send people into sticker shock. I was thinking about presenting it as 3 payments of $ABC.

Erica, how are your customers reacting to the price? Maybe mine are just cheapos...

I barely received the sample so I just worked the books into our 2007 package structure. I've yet to meet a client to present this to, but i'll let you know!

That's a good idea regarding a payment plan. In the past, I have not taken a "final" book order until they see all of the images. The package comes with a certain book size of course, but I always tell them that its VERY likely they'll want to upgrade to include more images. So far that plan has always resulted in an upgrade. That could work with these books too...only time will tell!

Let me know how your sales with these go - or anyone else in here. I have heard of people that sell higher priced packages/ albums and bill out in 3-5 payments BEFORE the wedding. THey have 2 credit cards on file and bill on set dates. If one card fails they bill the other. Has anyone had any luck with that kind of thing? We recently started to accept credit cards, mainly b/c of event functions where people didnt have cash. It actaully works out well, then I dont have to bring change. Anyway, I still havent gotten the nack of wedding packages. My people are still wanting to do everything al la carte. Erica, do your customers come looking for packages? Thanks!

Holly,

Yup, they have come looking for packages and recently I"ve noticed they really want more prints for the family. I"m trying to push the smaller books & guestbooks that Graphi offers for 2007 and my prints are always ala carte.

I don't accept CC except for online orders. I know I probably should, but we're not busy enough yet to warrant that..i hope that changes next year!
