Ads during soaps - which soaps do you watch?

So, I was looking into a TV ad and just wanted to get demographics on what age watches which soaps.

I can run a TV ad on ABC, NBC or CBS. I wanted to make sure I hit my demographic and didnt accidentally run ads at geriatrics when I was aiming for new Moms.

If anyone watches anything (or you know your Grandma does) could you say which soap it is and a rough estimate on age (example: 30-35 yrs) That will help me hone in a bit more.

And I know there are mostly guys in here, so say whatever your girl watches (whether that be your Mom, sister, or honey). Ya know, if you dont want to admit you watch any of those shows.

I'm sure the networks would provide you with the demographics for various times of day/tv shows. Wouldn't that be part of their sales pitch to try and get you to buy advertising on their channel?

The do provide some of that info...I was just checking their stats with real people! :o)

My SAHM SIL and a few of her friends (all mid 30's, mom's of preschoolers) all watch Young and the Restless. I don't do soaps anymore.

The TV station you are purchasing the ads through (or networks) have research for demographics of their shows, which they should be more than happy to share with you. I use our research dept when I am recommending print ads to client and other media are the same.
