hey all, I am relocating to Houston and am looking for a photo rep. Any ideas? I am an architectural photographer with 6 years experience. Any rep in the Texas area would be helpfull. Thanks.

Um, may be a silly question, but what is a Photo Rep? Maybe if I don't know, then I don't need to know? ;-)

I am interested in knowing this too. I am not sure of any photo reps in Texas but I know there has to be some.

A photo rep, or photographers representative, or artist rep., or photo agent are all names for the same thing. Simply, someone that will help you manage your clients as well as gain new clients. If anyone knows of someone who has a rep. in the Texas area I would love to get in contact with them. Thanks.

I think if you pose this question in the photojournalism forum you will get a better response. I know of two who use reps, but I don't want to reveal who they are out of privacy reasons.

i say start looking in LA or NY or MI...
That is where you going to work for if your doing commercial/fashion.

Here you go to the ad agencies with your leave behinds and after researching who to talk with you get a meeting and then leave your disk and flyer with them. same thing for mags in the area too or just about anyone.

most photographers that i know that have reps have them in NY and LA...
